Electric Eels competition teams are on the road again this coming weekend for the North East Regional Powerchair Football League. On Sunday 24th March, Electric Eels first team and academy team will be travelling to Thornaby. For the first team, this will be the final round of the 2018/19 NEPFL meanwhile, the academy team will have another round to go.
Electric Eels first team who compete in the NEPFL Premiership face Middlesbrough at 11am then, Middlesbrough Reserves at 1pm. Speaking to the club website, Lee first team coach said: " We had a great weekend at the Nationals last week so we need to continue to work hard. That's the key phrase for us. Hard work.There's no magic formula. You can't open a bottle and sprinkle on a magic formula. It's all about hard work. Working for the team and your team mates. "
Meanwhile, Electric Eels academy who compete in the NEPFL Championship face Darlington at 1pm then, Middlesbrough Discovery at 3pm. Speaking to the club website Kai, Academy coach said: " The team are excited for this weekend following some really good training sessions. We have spoken about what we need to work on within the games to ensure we improve our league position. The teams we are facing are really good and if we don't fully concentrate we could get penalised, in saying that I'm confident the team stick to the game plan. Hopefully we come away with the points this weekend."
