Hull & East Yorkshire PFC competition teams are travelling to Leeds this coming Sunday 29th September. Electric Eels first team and academy team will be playing in the second round of the North East Regional Powerchair Football League.
Electric Eels first team will be facing York-based side Jorvik and Leeds Dynamos. In the first round, Electric Eels first team secured two wins; 5 - 1 and 8 - 0 sitting in first position in the Championship. Last weekend within the national league they secured 2 wins and 2 defeats. Luke, first team player states the team are hoping to continue to their recent form. Luke said: " I’m really looking forward to the Regionals. We come from the back of great performances from our first MDUK Championship National weekend, and if we perform just as well on Sunday I’m confident we can get results. "
Electric Eels academy team will be facing Middlesbrough Discovery twice. In the first round, Electric Eels academy team lost both of their matches 9 - 1 and 8 - 0. The academy team have been training hard in preparation for the upcoming fixtures on Sunday. Academy coach Kai said: " Despite our two defeats, the team have been training really hard and working on teamwork as well as defence. We play Middlesbrough Discovery twice and we know it will be hard, but I know if they stick to the game plan we can try and bring home the points. "
