Meet Our Players: Jamie

Updated: Jun 23, 2021

Hull & East Yorkshire PFC would like to introduce you to our academy team player Jamie who is the latest to star in Meet Our Players series. Jamie only joined the club almost a year ago and made an impression within his first couple of months training, with his interest and burning desire to improve his game. He made his debut this season alongside, his team-mate Callum who have made a positive impact to the academy team. Jamie plays in the North East League 1 and Yorkshire League. We introduce to you Jamie:

How long have you been playing powerchair football?

I’ve been playing for about a year.

What do you enjoy the most about powerchair football?

It’s interactive and it’s fun.

Why should someone who has a physical disability, and uses a wheelchair on a daily basis try powerchair football?

They should try it to see what it’s like, it’s fun and entertaining.

How has powerchair football changed your life?

I’ve learnt something new and made new friends.

What’s your favourite memory of the club?

When I scored my first goal.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I want to still be playing powerchair football and progressing within the club.

How did it feel when you first tried powerchair football?

Great.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?

I like being eco-friendly. Also, I'm a big Manchester City fan.

What are your hobbies away from powerchair football?

Playing on my Xbox.

What have you been doing during the lockdown?

I’ve been doing work, had my birthday and got some presents plus ate some cake. I’ve been on Pokemon hunting walks, watching TV, playing on my Xbox and doing physio.

We would like to thank Jamie for taking his time during lockdown to answer the questions. It's clear to see how much Jamie loves powerchair football and wanting to progress.

On Monday, we will be introducing you to our development player Joel.
