Hull & East Yorkshire PFC are delighted to introduce you to our first team player Kole, who is the next to star in Meet Our Players Q&A series. Kole joined the club only last year in August. The winger has been a great addition to the first team, bringing experience from playing in the MDUK Championship for a few seasons. In addition, Kole has scored over 26 goals for the club so far. Koel plays in the MDUK Championship and North East Championship. We introduce you to Kole;
How long have you been playing powerchair football?
I have been playing powerchair football for 4 years in January.
What do you enjoy the most about powerchair football?
The thing I enjoy about powerchair football is that you get to play as a team in a competitive environment, this is good for people like me who have never been in a competitive game before.
Why should someone who has a physical disability, and uses a wheelchair on a daily basis try powerchair football?
They should try it because it will change their life and be able to make new friends.
How has powerchair football changed your life?
I have met a lot of friends, it gave me a lot of confidence to play the sport I love.
What’s your favourite memory of the club?
Beating a premier league team in the cup
Where do you see yourself in five years?
My ambition is to play for England.
How did it feel when you first tried powerchair football?
I felt so excited and I couldn’t believe that I can play a sport just like my brothers.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
I was the first person in Britain born with the condition I have which is RYR1 Gene.
What are your hobbies away from powerchair football?
My hobby at home is video games.
What have you been doing during the lockdown?
I have been watching powerchair football games and getting tips from some of the England squad as well as playing video games with my mates.
