On Sunday 24th November, Electric Eels are up against Bournemouth Warriors at 11:35AM who are currently in 12th on the league table. Then the final match for our first team is against Manchester City at 3:05pm. In Gameweek 1, Electric Eels faced Manchester City in what was a very close 0-0 match so, it’ll be interesting to see if it goes the same way or who comes out on top with 3 points this time.
First team captain , Kai Gill, previews the weekend as a challenge but, one he believes the team are up for and has come at the right time. Kai said: “ After, Gameweek 1 we regrouped, analysed our matches and all spoke about areas we were happy with but, importantly, areas we needed to improve. We’ve spent the last couple of months working on those areas in training and also, taking new ideas to matches we have had. As a team, our communication and connection with each other has improved greatly, this weekend will be the true test of that. It’s come at the right time for us to have a good number of matches.”
Kai, tells us why Gameweek 2 is one of his favourite rounds. He said; “ This time of the season is one I always look forward to seeing when fixtures are released. It’s always a great gameweek for watching as you can really see which, teams have improved. It doesn’t define your season, however it offers a glimpse into just possibly who could be the wildcard to finish higher than you may have already thought. “
